Wellbeing Sessions

Wellbeing Circles for Schools and Community Groups

Picture
Thanks to a very generous grant from the Fairer Health and Wellbeing Project Fund through Suffolk County Council, we are delighted to be able to offer wellbeing sessions for children in schools and community groups. The sessions will be offered to groups of girls from years 5-11 across a six week programme.

Six 1-hour sessions will focus on emotional and social literacy, providing tools to manage the changes ahead (for example mindfulness exercises, yoga, relaxation) with confidence-building, positive and empowering activities. Girls will receive a journal in the first session and weekly journaling tasks to help focus and explore some of the topics we discuss.

Sessions ideally take place seated on the floor in a circle in a quiet space – this might require some moving of furniture etc. Each session starts with an opening of the circle where girls can share any things that have come up over the week and ends with a closing activity.

Session 1 : My many emotions
Session 2 : Me, myself and others
Session 3 : Finding my voice
Session 4 : My unique body
Session 5 : My periods
Session 6 :  Celebration of me

These sessions can be adapted for a group of boys as well. (Session 4 - what is manliness?, Session 5 - my body)

If you would like us to come in to your school or community group setting (Brownies/Scouts/home ed group etc), please email claire@westsuffolkhive.org.uk

Let's Talk - Wellbeing Meet-ups

Mondays

Fortnightly meet-ups to connect and chat about emotional wellbeing around the fire with a cup of tea.

A meditation will be delivered at each session and guests will be introduced to Natural Mindfulness activities as they are invited to consider what nature can show us about the difficult emotional states we may face.

Natural Mindfulness, not only helps us to rest and restore and bring calm to a busy mind, but it also offers us the opportunity to come back to what is natural, to come back to our centre and gain fresh perspectives on the situations we are facing.

We often forget that we are nature, we are not separate from nature.  When we take time to interact with nature and reflect on some of life's challenges, we often experience insight that helps us to make sense of a situation or view things differently.

A warm, friendly and compassionate space awaits, offering all participants the opportunity for connection.

These sessions are being trialled throughout October & November

Booking is essential and tickets are offered on a sliding scale:

Free to those who are struggling financially at the moment
£10 as the standard price
£15 for those who feel abundant and want to support the sessions a little more.

Working Well

Nature-based business well-being and planning.

Mondays 10am-12pm with Tina Gibbons

During these special outdoor meet ups, you will be invited to consider how your work and business operates in a way that is in harmony with nature's principles.

This is a very subtle but powerful difference to operating in an eco-friendly way.  Rather than considering how we can carry on as normal, in a way that has less of a damaging impact on the environment, we will be questioning and challenging 'normal' and look to nature's principles to guide us into a different way of being.

We are not separate from nature, we ARE nature. With this in mind, it is fair to consider that our lives and businesses may thrive more fully, if we base our decisions and actions on how we see nature thriving.

To support this exploration and enquiry, participants will be introduced to natural mindfulness activities to deepen their awareness of the nature around them.

These fortnightly gatherings offer local business people the opportunity to network, whilst also considering ways to support the wellbeing of their life and work, whilst contributing positively to the environment through action and change.

A wonderful opportunity to build connections with like minded professionals.
