At Greener Growth we develop food-producing resources and horticultural projects that encourage the wellbeing of participants, turn under-utilized land into productive resources and improve social cohesion.
Our projects are targeted at villages, towns and cities for a wide range of community areas such as schools, colleges, universities, housing estates, business parks and offices, care homes and prisons. Our scope of work also includes community kitchen garden schemes, farming, traditional orchards, flower meadows to attract wildlife, watercourses and ponds, beehives, recreational resources and footpaths.
We have developed a strong reputation for working with disadvantaged members of society, with a particular focus on prisons, ex-offenders and the homeless where the personal effect of inclusion has been transformative.
Encouraging sustained social cohesion and wellbeing through nature involves adopting principles including permaculture, conservation and biodiversity. By following this approach, we offer participants choice and believe that carefully planned, sensory rich and engaging outdoor spaces can play an important role in reintroducing people to the health and therapeutic benefits of growing their own food, promoting well-being and enhancing life skills of the communities that we work with.

Langham Walled Garden is set in the beautiful Suffolk countryside and boasts 4 acres of gardens including mature ornamental beds, a medicinal herb bed, kitchen gardens, 200 year old espalier fruit trees, orchards, a summerhouse, rose arches and meadows to relax in.
We have a small nursery where we grow and sell an interesting mix of heritage and traditional vegetable plants, a wide variety of herbs, native wildflower plants, and both traditional and unusual ornamental plants. We are also stocking local free-range eggs, free-range Jersey milk, artisan specialist bread, ice lollies made with Langham produce and also local beautifully crafted baskets, willow and hazel work. All of which we sell from the grounds.
The recently restored kitchen gardens allow us to grow on and sell our heritage and traditional fruits and veg. Chemical free and freshly harvested, the produce ranges from purple peas to yellow courgettes, heritage melons, carrots, greens, onions, garlic, herby salads, purple potatoes and beautiful chillis, peppers, herbs etc, etc. We can sell what you would like or we do a veg box service, just give us a call.

Suffolk Organic Gardeners
We are a friendly, enthusiastic group of gardeners, allotment holders and smallholders based in the Bury St. Edmunds area; our aims are to support organic gardeners and growers in Suffolk and to promote the wider organic movement.
We aim to encourage the understanding and enjoyment of organic gardening, by meeting to share ideas, expertise and resources. We promote organic gardening in the local community, by attending local fairs and events such as East Anglia Potato Day and Bury St Edmunds Green Fair and supporting community based schemes such as Bury in Bloom. We support the wider organic movement by being a group member of both Garden Organic and the Soil Association. We also encourage individual membership.
Members range in experience from complete novice to highly experienced individuals who are glad to share their expertise with others. We hold regular meetings at the Friends’ Meeting House in Bury St Edmunds and arrange garden visits. We also coordinate a group seed order each winter. We often have guest speakers to our meetings and non-members are always welcomed, though we do charge a small attendance fee.

With a degree in Ecology and many years working with the Wildlife Trusts, we specialize in SSSI’s and overstood coppice, but are fully experienced in all areas of traditional woodland management.
Our aim is to improve the health of overstood, unmanaged or under-managed woodlands across East Anglia, turning them into productive, thriving, bio-diverse landscapes whilst adding value by increasing their potential yields, which in turn benefits future generations.
We believe in the gentle, sensitive approach to woodland management. We assess each woodland individually, taking into account the owners requirements and tailor the work to suit whilst ensuring good management practice with the minimum of disruption to the woodland.
