Art Branches
Art Branches is a not-for-profit community interest company, specialising in inclusive art projects for communities across the East of England.
Art Branches was set up in 2015 by Sara Noonan, Stephanie Hartick and Deborah Pipe. The community interest company grew out of the success of ‘Landscape Patterns’; a project Stephanie Hartick set up as an artist, connecting people with the landscape of the Brecks, for Breaking New Ground Landscape Partnership. Our ethos is to improve health and wellbeing, both physical and mental, through the provision of supported creative projects that link people to their environment. Our work is led by project managers and experienced artists, who have a wide variety of expertise. Ranging from filmmaking, photography and textiles to sculpture, fine art, poetry and ceramics. Art Branches specialises in creating bespoke projects, inspired by specific environments, that take place in outdoor settings. Our work is also delivered in schools, community centres, residential homes and hospitals. All of our artists have DBS checks and experience working in the community. Hedge Crafts Studio
In her studio in the beautiful Suffolk countryside Daisy Windsor creates miniature wildflower meadows from plant materials gathered in her cottage garden.
Having a lifelong love of nature, and particularly wild flowers, she wanted to recreate and preserve the fleeting moment of glory of a summer meadow. Inspired by the big Suffolk skies, beautiful sunsets and moon rises, she uses mixed media alongside the flowers, to capture the moments spent in her garden and the surrounding countryside. You can find Daisy at the Makers Markets in Bury St Edmunds on the first Sunday of the month. Website: http://hedgecraftsstudio.co.uk/ Facebook: @Hedge-Crafts-Studio Email: [email protected] |
Muddy Fingers Environmental Art
We are Gardeners, Landscapers, Therapeutic Arts practitioners and Natural Builders. We are available for building and facilitating workshops: Earth benches, Clay pizza Ovens, Earthen Garden walls and Earth Murals, with schools, community groups and for private clients. We love earth building and want to share our love of MUD with others.
Eco Bricks are also a passion of ours after spending 5 and a half years travelling the world along many of our coastlines where we found ourselves knee deep in plastic trash. We are keen divers and Marine conservationists. We run creative Art making sessions to create dialogue about the Plastic problem and to look at solutions to this problem. Also we can help your group or school build their own Eco bricks to create structures such as benches. We also can run engaging and educational compost and worm bin sessions, (especially with groups in the Suffolk area who may be eligible for a free or subsidized wormery from the Suffolk Master composter project we volunteer with.) We at Muddy Fingers Environmental Arts love guided creative exploration; ephemeral art making; building other worlds with dens and fairy houses; workshops that reinforce environmentally-conscious ideas and engage the heart; making art outside as much as possible using natural or recycled materials; creating a safe place for creative engagement. We are inspired by therapeutic arts practices, ecology and the ever changing natural world. All inclusive, universal practices that children everywhere big and small can benefit from. Engaging use of five senses and experiential nature. Direct hands on learning and play experiences, imagination, creativity, adventure and discovery. The Coddiwomplers
At the Coddiwomplers, we make lovely things from willow and wood for homes and gardens. From baskets to bird feeders, bunting to jewellery. In the Winter and Spring, we also make and maintain living arches, domes, fences and tunnels using locally harvested willow. We can also make garden structures and fences using hazel that we coppice locally. As well as making things, we run willow weaving courses and workshops for all ages, abilities and occasions. We work with schools and Forest Schools as well as delivering courses at venues such as Blackthorpe Barns. Through the summer we set up willow craft areas at festivals and fairs.
